Bury have signed Tom Lees, Phil Picken and Kyle Bennett in a busy day of transfer activity at Gigg Lane.Lees has joined on a six-month loan deal from Leeds United and has League Two experience with Accrington Stanley.

Picken, 24, has penned a one-year-deal after the former Manchester United defender was released from Chesterfield where he spent four years.

Attacking midfielder Bennett, 19, has also signed a one-year deal after his release from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Lees, who signed a new two-year contract with Leeds while on loan at Accrington, can play at centre-half or right-back.

Picken and Bennett were both on trial at Gigg Lane and impressed during pre-season games against Leeds and Rochdale.
